How to Control the files Windows loads automatically when it is booting up.
After a period of time a new computer will take longer and longer to start windows. This is normally due to the number of files it is loading at start up. These are added as you add new programs and updates.
While some of these files are essential, some are not. You may be loading files required for programs you never or seldom use.
To check this out, click on START, RUN and then type MSCONFIG in the RUN window.
Click the tab "Startup" to see the list of files being loaded every time windows starts. If you see some files for programs you seldom or never use, untick these and re-boot.
WARNING : Only untick files you are sure about. If in doubt, do not untick.
